Transfer Your Domain

To transfer to MonsterHost®, we only need the approval code from your current supplier and the email address that is associated to your domain record. The authorized person who wishes to transfer the domain must have access the email associated with it and be able make an official request for the EEP codes to the current domain provider.

These are the steps:

1. Request an EEP or transfer code from the current domain registrar/domain hosts.
2. Register in the domain transfer section on MonsterHost®. Enter the domain name and the approval code/EPP codes if necessary.
3. Confirm the transfer in order to complete the domain transfer. Next, log in to the email address you used for domain registration. Once you have mentioned your email, you will receive an approval code. You will then be guided through the basic domain transfer process by MonsterHost®. The domain transfer process should take between 5 and 7 business days. This allows the domain to grow.

ICANN states that your domain can be transferred almost anytime provided it is not registered for more than 60 days.

EPP authorization code is the unique password that you use to move your domain. After requesting it from your current registrar, your EPP code will be listed in the dashboard for managing your domains and in the email associated with that domain.

The average domain transfer time is 5 to 7 days. However, some domain extensions take less time. This means that the entire process can take between 30 minutes and 7 days. This process can be monitored by logging into your Monsterhost.com Control Panel.

1. Log in to MonsterHost’s Client Area.
2. Click the Launch button next to Domains.
3. Scroll to the upper left and select Domains. Click on Pending Transfers. You will see information about the status of your transfer.
